    Peru aims to offer safe wood to more competitive markets

    In mid-2014 the National Forestry Chamber completed the design of a system so that 100% of the timber that is traded in and out of the country is guaranteed.

    With the implementation of a traceability system designed by the National Forestry Chamber, it is easy to know the origin of the wood that is offered in our country and those that come out of our borders, considered Mary Wong, Deputy CEO of GS1 Peru.

    "This system will also allow companies to enter formal increasingly competitive markets that demand guaranteeing the origin, processing and identification of wood," Wong said.

    In 2013 the United States is back in the lead market of art and antiques

    In 2013 the world market for art and antiques worth over 47,000 million euros, an increase of 8% over the previous year. Moreover, USA has regained the lead with a share of 38% of its value. China, which in 2012 was located in the first place, is now in second position (24% market share), although with an increase of 2% compared to last year. UK is third with 20%, but the crisis has damaged the image of the EU as a whole, which is reflected in a 2% drop in sales.

    Galán calls for a "European Union for Energy" to improve industrial competitiveness
